FWI envisions a sustainable wholesome life improvements for the poorest of the poor and destitute community members living in Ethiopia.
FWI's Mission is to provide the marginalized community members in general and children as well as women in particular by addressing their basic needs such as food, education, health shelter, etc.by opportunities to improve their families' income level, access to quality education , enrichment in awareness and training on: improved agricultural production both in food crops and animals, natural environmental resources management, saving and credit system, small scale business planning and management, organizing women and unemployed youths in IGAs and Self-Help Group, providing them with basic inputs in such a way that it doesn't negatively affect their self-reliance or encourage dependency syndrome.etc, training women and youths on: the prevention and control of HIV&AIDS, environmental sanitation and personal hygiene , training mothers on proper child care and household resource management, etc.
Our philosophy is to support the community that we adopt by enabling them help themselves through the planting of “seeds” in the form of sustainable development programs. To this effect, we empower communities we help to be self-reliant, fight poverty and establish a sustainable socio-economic backbone so that, they own the project - nurture the “seed”- maintain and own the development program by themselves.
